How to use a cutting machine to make sealing gaskets? Today, we will give you a detailed introduction on how to use our oscillating knife cutting machine to make gaskets.

First, we select the sealing material to be cut - 3mm asbestos-free board, and place it on the machine working platform. Since the machine model we use is AOL-1625 CNC gasket cutting machine, the effective working size is 1600mm x 2500mm. In order to ensure that the material is firmly fixed on the working platform, in order to prevent the position of the material from changing during the cutting process, we need to use the adsorption function, which can enhance the vacuum adsorption capacity and adsorb specifically the area where the material is located.

Here we recommend using a 400w high-power electric vibration knife, because the electric vibration cutting tool does not require 0.6MPA compressed air, so it can save a lot of processing costs.

If the diameter of the circle to be cut is less than 10mm, we recommend choosing a professional small circle cutting knife, because its blade adopts a vertical design and the tip of the knife adopts a blunt angle design. When cutting high-hardness materials, the tip of the knife is not easily damaged. When cutting small circles, there is no overcutting of the corners, which can achieve the best cutting effect. It is especially suitable for cutting high-density asbestos boards and rubber boards.

After we install the selected tool and blade on the machine, we have to complete a very important setting, which is to set the cutting depth and blade width compensation. This step is set on the machine's control panel. Only by setting the correct blade depth and blade compensation data can we get a good cutting effect.

The second step is to draw the graphics to be processed in the CAD software. Of course, we can also find the graphics to be cut in the professional gasket nesting software, which has a variety of commonly used gasket graphics. No CAD is required. You can get the processing graphics by just entering the data. Then, we only need to enter the size of the material to be processed and the number of cuts in the software, and the software will automatically nest according to these data. It only takes 1 minute to get the best nesting plan, saving nesting time, improving material utilization, and realizing intelligent processing.

After we have completed all the above settings, we can proceed to the third step to make the sealing gasket.

In the third step, we open the processing graphics in the machine's control software and optimize the processing graphics before processing.

We need to set the best cutting starting point - the middle position of the straight line, then we check the overlap and closure of the graphics to get the best cutting data, and finally we need to sort the graphics, the best cutting order - cut small graphics first, then cut large graphics, cut the graphics in the center of the material first, then cut the graphics close to the edge of the material.

Do you feel that these optimizations are complicated? In fact, we only need to save these optimization data in the configuration options of the software, and then just click the "Optimize Configuration" command to complete all optimizations with one click.

Sealing Gasket Material Process

After these optimizations are completed, we can send the graphics to the machine.

Since we have completed various settings of the machine before, now we only need to set the processing speed of the material on the operation panel.

So how to set the processing speed?

We can set the linear speed, curve speed, small circle speed, and knife drop speed of the vibration knife in the speed interface of the operation panel. When setting these speeds, we can follow a principle - the harder the material, the lower the speed. Taking 3mm asbestos-free board material as an example, we set the linear cutting speed to 100mm/s, the curve speed to 60mm/s, the small circle speed to 30mm/s, and the knife drop speed to 100mm/s.

Finally, we need to set the starting point of the processing - move the red laser positioning system to the starting point of the material, click "Set Zero Point" on the panel, and the starting point setting is completed.

After everything is done, we can click "Start" and the machine will cut automatically. Now, let's take a look at the processing process of the machine.
